NOK 963 billion in wages
Preliminary figures from the tax basis for 2011 show that wages and remuneration amounted to NOK 963 billion for residents of Norway aged 17 years and older. This is an increase of NOK 54 billion, or 5.9 per cent, from 2010.
On average, wages and remuneration were NOK 348 200 in 2011; an increase of 4.6 per cent from 2010.
Old-age pension
Old-age pension amounted to NOK 129 billion in 2011, which is a growth from 2010 of NOK 14 billion or 12.1 per cent.
Payments in kind
Estimated taxable income from free cars amounted to NOK 4.9 billion in 2011; an increase of 4.2 per cent from the previous year. A total of 663 000 persons had estimated taxable income from employer-subsidised electronic communication equipment in 2011. In total, this income was NOK 2.6 billion in 2011.
About the statistical basisThe statistics include taxable cash remuneration and other payments from employers that form the basis of the personal tax return. The source of the statistics is the register of End of the Year Certificates for the year 2011, and covers residents of Norway aged 17 years and older. |
