Meat production, 1st half-year 2015, preliminary figures have been withdrawn due to an error in the source figures. The new release will be published in week 42.

Fall in meat production

A total of 147 600 tonnes of meat from domestic animals were approved for human consumption during the first six months of 2013; a decrease of 1.8 per cent from the same period last year.

In total, 59 600 tonnes of pork, 46 100 tonnes of poultry, 38 100 tonnes of beef and veal and 3 400 tonnes of mutton and lamb were approved during the first half year 2013.

Compared with the first half of 2012, the production of meat from poultry increased by 5 per cent, while the production of pork decreased by 8 per cent.
