Less greenhouse gases – more waste
Norway's emissions of greenhouse gases dropped by 2.5 per cent from 2001 to 2002, and the effect of acidifying substances on the Norwegian nature has become weaker, but we produce an increasing amount of waste. For each Norwegian, close to 2 tonnes of waste are generated each year, including 350 kg of household waste. (12.12)
