Slower growth in sewage and refuse disposal

The growth from 1999 to 2000 in the sewage and refuse disposal industry was significantly lower in the 5. period 2000 compared to earlier periods in the same year.

Total turnover from January to October 2000 was nearly NOK 4 billion. This is a 10 per cent rise or NOK 364 million more than the previous year. The turnover is exc. VAT.

An important reason for the increased turnover in the first periods of the year is that several enterprises previously not included in the statistics have changed type of ownership and are now included in the statistics. The effects of this re-structuring of the industry is no longer that significant.
