Sewage and refuse disposal, sanitation and similar activities, 1st period 2006

Businesses dealing with collection and treatment of sewage had a turnover of NOK 117 million. This is a 3 per cent increase compared with the same period in 2005.

The businesses dealing with sanitation, remediation and similar activities had a turnover of NOK 65 million in January and February of 2006. This is a 30 per cent increase compared with the corresponding period in 2005.

In the first period of 2006 the turnover in the businesses dealing with collection and treatment of other waste represented over 9/10 of the total turnover within sewage and refuse disposal. This subclass had a turnover of almost NOK 1.5 billion in January and February of 2006, an increase of 9 per cent compared with the corresponding period in 2005.
