12 per cent on sewage and sanitation

In May and June of 2006, the turnover in sewage and refuse disposal, sanitation and similar activities amounted to more than NOK 1. 9 billion. This is an increase of 12 per cent compared with the same period the previous year.

Sewage and rusal disposal. NOK million

In the third period of 2006, the turnover in the businesses dealing with collection and treatment of sewage had a turnover of NOK 152 million, an increase of 6 per cent compared with the same period in 2005.

The businesses dealing with sanitation, remediation and similar activities had a turnover of NOK 50 million in May and June of 2006. The turnover increased by 6 per cent compared with the same period in 2005.

In the third period of 2006, businesses dealing with collection and treatment of other waste had an increase in the turnover of 13 per cent compared with the same period in 2005. The turnover was NOK 1.7 billion.
