Sewage and refuse disposal, sanitation and similar activities, 6th period 2006

In the sixth period of 2006 (November and December) the turnover was NOK 2.0 billion. This represents an increase of 12 per cent compared with the same period in 2005.

Businesses involved in the collection and treatment of sewage had a turnover of approximately NOK 1.1 billion in 2006 and NOK 196 million in November and December. Businesses involved in sanitation, remediation and similar activities had a turnover of NOK 396 million in 2006 and NOK 92 million in November and December.

In 2006, the turnover in businesses involved in the collection and treatment of other waste represented about 90 per cent of the total turnover within sewage and refuse disposal. This industry class had a turnover of NOK 10.3 billion in 2006 and NOK 1.4 billion in November and December.
