Sewage and refuse disposal, sanitation and similar activities, 6th period 2007

In the sixth period (November and December) of 2007, the turnover within sewage and refuse disposal, sanitation and similar activities was NOK 2 billion. This is an increase of 4 per cent increase compared with the corresponding period in 2006.

Businesses involved in the collection and treatment of sewage had a turnover of NOK 1.3 billion in 2007 and NOK 238 million in November and December. Businesses involved in sanitation, remediation and similar activities had a turnover of NOK 291 million in 2007 and NOK 80 million in the sixth period.

In 2007, the turnover for businesses involved in the collection and treatment of other waste accounted for 87 per cent of the total turnover within sewage and refuse disposal. This industry class had a turnover of NOK 11 billion in 2007 and NOK 1.7 billion in November and December.
