Increased turnover in sewage and sanitation

The turnover in businesses dealing with sewage and sanitation had an increase of 6 per cent in March and April this year compared with the same period last year. The turnover in business with collection and treatment of sewage had an increase of 14 per cent.

Sewage and refuse disposal. NOK million

The turnover in business with collection and treatment of sewage was NOK 272 million in March and April this year.

The same period the turnover for businesses in collection and treatment of other waste was NOK 1 971 million. This is 5 per cent compared with the corresponding period in 2007.

The businesses dealing with sanitation, remediation and similar activities had a turnover of NOK 59 million in the second period of 2008. This is an increase of 7 per cent compared with the same period the year before.
