Sewage and refuse disposal, sanitation and similar activities, 3rd period 2008

Businesses dealing with collection and treatment of sewage had a turnover of NOK 673 million in the first half of 2008, an increase of 12 per cent compared with the corresponding period last year. Compared to the turnover in May and June of 2007, the turnover increased by 10 per cent in the third period of this year.

Businesses dealing with collection and treatment of other waste increased their turnover by 9 per cent in the first half of 2008 compared with the first half of 2007. From the third period last year to the same period this year, the turnover increased by 10 per cent.

Within sanitation, remediation and similar activities the increase in turnover was 21 per cent in the first half of 2008. The increase in turnover in the third period was 40 per cent compared with the same period in 2007.
