NOK 2.7 billion on sewage and sanitation

The turnover in sewage and refuse disposal, sanitation and similar activities was NOK 2.7 billion in September and October 2008. This is an increase of 10 per cent compared with the same period in the previous year.

Sewage and refuse disposal. NOK million

Businesses dealing with the collection and treatment of sewage had a turnover of NOK 328 million in the fifth period of 2008; an increase of 23 per cent compared with the same period in 2007.

The turnover in businesses dealing with the collection and treatment of other waste was NOK 2 299 million in September and October 2008. This industry group had an increase of 7 per cent.

Within sanitation, remediation and similar activities, the turnover was NOK 64 million in the fifth period of 2008; an increase of 28 per cent compared with the same period in 2007.
