High turnover in sewage and refuse disposal in 2007

Enterprises within sewage and refuse disposal, sanitation and similar activities had an increase in turnover by 11.6 per cent from 2006 to 2007. The turnover increased from NOK 11.7 billion to NOK 13.1 billion.

The number of enterprises rose by 60 to 911, an increase of 7.1 per sent. The employment rose by 6.1 per centc, to 6 889 persons.

Preliminary figures

The preliminary figures for structural statistics are published on enterprise level only. Only figures for the number of enterprises, employment and turnover are published. In general, the figures for enterprises will show other values than the figures for local kind-of-activity units. This is due to the fact that an enterprise registered with its main activity in one industry may have local kind-of-activity units in other industries. The data have not been as thoroughly revised as they will be at the publishing of the final figures in May 2009.
