Within waste activities and materials recovery, NOK 8.6 billion of the turnover came from waste collection, NOK 9.2 billion from materials recovery and NOK 2.7 billion from waste treatment and disposal.

Total value added (at factor prices) amounted to NOK 6.9 billion, down 5.5 per cent from 2012. Waste collection and materials recovery was the largest industry, with a value added of NOK 6.1 billion (87.4 per cent of the total).

Gross investment appeared to fall dramatically, but this is due to sales of tangible fixed assets from subsidiary companies in the population to principal companies outside the population.
