Decreasing turnover for water supply; sewerage, waste management and remediation activities
The turnover in water supply; sewerage, waste management and remediation activities was NOK 3.3 billion in July and August 2009. This is a decrease of 10 per cent compared with the same period last year.
The greatest decrease is from businesses dealing with the recovery of sorted materials, which had a turnover of NOK 854 million in the fourth period of 2009. This is a decrease of 33 per cent compared with 2008. The decrease is mainly caused by the decreasing metal prices.
Companies that are engaged in the collection of non-hazardous waste represent the largest industry group, and had a turnover of NOK 1.3 billion; a decrease of 1 per cent compared with 2008.
