3 per cent capital increase
At the end of the second quarter 2001 The National Insurance Scheme Fund's total capital amounted to NOK 133 billion. This corresponds to a 3 per cent increase compared with the first quarter 2001, when the fund's total capital totaled NOK 128 billion.
At the end of 2001, "Loans to the central government" made up 56.5 per cent of The National Insurance Scheme Fund's total capital. Second largest are "Bonds", with a share of 19.3 per cent of the fund's total capital. "Shares and other equities" amount to 14.7 per cent.
Growth in "Shares and other equities"
Figures from The National Insurance Scheme Fund show that "Shares and other equities", as a percentage of total capital, rose by 18.5 per cent since the 1s t half of 2001. In comparison "Loans to the central government" went up by 1.4 per cent. In the same period, the share of securities and bonds went down by 19.3 and 11.1 per cent respectively.
