National Insurance Scheme Fund increased
At the end of the first half of 2003 the National Insurance Scheme Fund's total capital amounted to NOK 148.3 billion. This is an increase of NOK 12 billion compared with the Fund's value at the end of 2002.
Figures from the National Insurance Scheme Fund show that "Loans to central government" totalled NOK 84.6 billion at the end of the first half of 2003. This equals 57.1 per cent of the National Insurance Scheme Fund's total capital.
"Bonds" and "Shares and other equities"
The second largest financial objects at the end of the first half of 2003 were "Bonds" and "Shares and other equities." "Bonds" amounted to NOK 23.6 billion, which was 15.9 per cent of the Fund's total capital. "Shares and other equities" amounted to NOK 22.7 billion, 15.3 per cent.
