Increase for National Insurance Scheme Fund

At the end of the second half of 2003 the National Insurance Scheme Fund's total capital amounted to NOK 158.3 billion. This is an increase of NOK 10 billion compared to the Fund's value at the end of the first half of 2003.

Figures from The National Insurance Scheme Fund show a NOK 4 billion decrease in Commercial papers during 2n d half 2003. In the same period, the stock of bonds , shares and loans are increased by approximately NOK 6 billion. The figures also show a growth in other financial assets corresponding to NOK 8 billion in the second half 2003, reflecting last year appreciation in the stockmarket.
