Tax revenues up 3.3 per cent

Distributed taxes were in all NOK 321 billion from January to September 2003. That was an increase of NOK 10.2 billion or 3.3 per cent compared with the same period last year.

Total tax paid to local government amounted to NOK 74.9 billion from January to September 2003, an increase of 6.1 per cent compared with 2002. Contributions to the National Insurance Scheme were together NOK 113.2 billion, an increase of 5.4 per cent.

The sum of the municipalities in Hordaland county had the largest increase in tax income - approximately 9 per cent. Oslo had a decrease of 2 per cent compared with 2002.
