Tax payments up 1.3 per cent

In January this year distributed taxes amounted NOK 45.4 billion. This is an increase of NOK 0.6 billion, or 1.3 per cent, compared with January 2003.

Total tax paid to local government amounted to NOK 12 billion in January 2004, an increase of NOK 1.3 billion or 11.8. per cent compared with the corresponding period last year.

Contributions to the central government amounted NOK 10.6 billion, a decrease of NOK 1.4 billion, or 11.8 per cent, compared to January 2003.
