Tax revenues up 8.2 per cent

Distributed taxes amounted to NOK 63.7 billion in January and February 2006. This is an increase of NOK 4.9 billion, or 8.2 per cent, compared with the corresponding period in 2005.

Paid and distributed taxes by county. Change in per cent, January- February, 2004-2005 and 2005-2006

Total tax paid to the central government came to NOK 22.8 billion, an increase of 13.0 per cent. Total tax paid to local government came to NOK 14.0 billion. This is an increase of 4.4 per cent compared with January and February 2005. Contributions to the National Insurance Scheme totalled NOK 26.5 billion - an increase of 6.5 per cent.
