Tax revenues up 7.4 per cent

From January to March 2006 distributed taxes amounted to NOK 123.6 billion. This is an increase of NOK 8.5 billion, or 7.4 per cent, compared with the corresponding period in 2005.

Total tax paid to central government amounted to NOK 38.4 billion, an increase of 7.6 per cent. Total tax paid to local government came to NOK 32.3 billion. This is an increase of 6.8 per cent compared with the corresponding period in 2005. Contributions to the National Insurance Scheme totalled NOK 51.9, an increase of 6.0 per cent.

Almost every county had an increase in distributed taxes compared with the same period last year. Rogaland had the larges increase with 11.0 per cent. Østfold had, as the only county, a slight decrease of 0.5 percent.
