Tax accounts, January 2007

Total tax paid to local government came to NOK 15.2 billion. This is an increase of NOK 1.8 billion, or 13.5 per cent compared with the same period in 2006.

Contributions to the National Insurance Scheme totalled NOK 27.8 billion, an increase of NOK 1.7 billion or 6.7 per cent compared with January 2006. Of this Employers contribution amounts to NOK 18.5 billion, while Members contribution amounts to NOK 9.3 billion, an increase of respectively 5.1 per cent and 9.8 per cent.
