Total tax from petroleum sector in the period January-August 2007 accumulated to NOK 94.8 billion, an increase of 4.3 per cent compared with the same period in 2006.

Contributions to the National Insurance Scheme rose by 7.7 per cent from the corresponding period in 2006 and totalled NOK 116.1 billion.
