In the period of Januray-August 2007, total distributed taxes amounted to NOK 394 billion. This is an increase of NOK 40 billion, or 11.2 per cent, compared with the corresponding period in 2006.
Tax payment to central government excluding National Insurance Scheme and petroleum taxes, increased by NOK 24.5 billion, or 29.4 per cent, and came to NOK 107.6 billion. Payments to local government totalled to NOK 73.5 billion.
Total tax from petroleum sector in the period January-August 2007 accumulated to NOK 94.8 billion, an increase of 4.3 per cent compared with the same period in 2006.
Contributions to the National Insurance Scheme rose by 7.7 per cent from the corresponding period in 2006 and totalled NOK 116.1 billion.
The large increase in non-personal taxpaying arrangement is mainly due to new regulations. Tax payments for this group (excl. petroleum taxes) are now made twice a year, while the payment earlier was three times a year. |
