Moderate growth in tax revenue

Total tax revenue amounted to NOK 451.6 billion in the period January-July 2009. This is an increase of NOK 16.8 billion or 3.9 per cent compared to the same period in 2008.

Paid and distributed taxes by county. Change in per cent, January-July, 2007-2008 and 2008-2009

Tax payments to municipalities increased by NOK 5.3 billion or 8.2 per cent to NOK 69.7 billion. County municipalities received tax revenue of NOK 13.7 billion, which is an increase of NOK 500 million or 3.9 per cent.

Employer contributions to the National Insurance Scheme totalled NOK 83 billion; an increase of NOK 5.4 billion or 6.9 per cent. Member contributions increased by NOK 4.4 billion or 8.7 per cent compared to last year, and amounted to NOK 54.5 billion.
