Continued increase in tax payments
By the end of March of this year, Norway had received NOK 231.9 billion in taxes. This is NOK 19.9 billion, or 9.4 per cent more than the same period last year.
The largest source of taxes came from the advance tax arrangement and employer contributions. NOK 164.9 billion was paid from these groups, which is an increase of 6.9 per cent or NOK 10.7 billion.
Increase in payments to the National Insurance Scheme
The National Insurance Scheme had an increase in payments, and has received NOK 76.9 billion so far this year. This is an increase of 7 per cent or NOK 5 billion more than the same period last year.
More income to the municipalities
A year has passed since the change in income system rules that led to municipalities receiving less taxes. The tax income for the municipalities is now starting to increase again. So far this year, taxes received by the municipalities have increased by NOK 844 million to NOK 35 billion, which corresponds to a 3 per cent increase. Taking only the payments received in March 2011 compared to March 2010, the increase has been 9.9 per cent.
Merging of municipalitiesThe municipalities of Mosvik and Inderøy were merged as Inderøy. In table 3, the changes in per cent from last year will be based on the sum of the two municipalities last year. |
