Increased tax payments in April
The total amount of taxes paid by the end of April this year is NOK 269.9 billion1. This is 13.6 per cent more than the amount paid in the first four months of 2010.
Most of the taxes paid in April were paid through the non-personal taxpaying arrangement. A total of NOK 113.4 billion1 has been paid through this arrangement in the first four months of 2011. NOK 58.6 billion1 was paid in taxes on petroleum extraction. This is 28.6 per cent1 more than in the corresponding period of 2010. Tax equalisation contributions to the central government account for most of the other payments from the non-personal taxpaying arrangement.
Small amounts have been paid through the advance tax arrangement in April. The total sum for the four first months of 2011 stands at NOK 156.2 billion. Employer contributions to the National Insurance Scheme account for NOK 43.4 billion of this sum.
