Increase in tax payments
By the end of March, a total of NOK 239.6 billion had been received in tax payments. In March alone, NOK 95 billion was paid in tax payments. This is 5.1 per cent, or NOK 4.6 billion, more than in March 2012.

The total tax revenues are 3.3 per cent, or NOK 7.7 billion, higher than the corresponding first quarter of 2012. In total, NOK 239.6 billion was received in taxes January through March 2013. NOK 175.7 billion was received through the advance tax arrangement. This represents a 6.5 per cent increase compared to last year. The non-personal taxpaying arrangement has contributed with NOK 63.7 billion to the tax revenues. This is 4.5 per cent less than the corresponding quarter last year.
NOK 3 billion increase in tax revenues to the local government
The local government had received NOK 45.5 billion by the end of March 2013. This represents a 7.2 per cent increase compared to the same period last year. The municipalities received NOK 37.6 billion, while the county authorities received NOK 8 billion; increasing their tax revenues by 7.3 per cent and 6.5 per cent respectively. The central government, on the other hand, received NOK 76.1 billion during the same period. This represents a modest 2.1 per cent increase, or NOK 1.6 billion, compared to the first quarter 2012.
7 per cent more to the National Insurance Scheme
The member and employer contributions to the National Insurance Scheme totalled NOK 82.4 billion. This is NOK 5.4 billion more than the corresponding period last year. Employer contributions to the National Insurance Scheme amounted to NOK 49.8 billion and member contributions totalled NOK 32.5 billion. This represents an increase of 8.4 per cent and 5 per cent respectively compared to last year.
