Reduced tax payments

By the end of September, a total of NOK 673 billion had been paid in taxes in Norway. This is NOK 14 billion less than at the end of September 2013. The decline in total payments is due to reduced payments of petroleum taxes.

NOK 484 billion has been paid through the advance tax arrangement so far this year. This is NOK 12 billion, or 2.6 per cent, more than in the corresponding period last year. Contributions to the National Insurance Scheme account for NOK 224 billion of this sum. These contributions have increased by NOK 11 billion since last year. Tax equalisation contributions to the central government account for NOK 111 billion of the sum paid through the advance tax arrangement and ordinary taxes to municipalities account for NOK 103 billion.

From January to September, NOK 188 billion has been paid through the non-personal taxpaying arrangement. NOK 122 billion of this sum was taxes on extraction of petroleum. The petroleum taxes have decreased by NOK 28 billion, or 18.6 per cent, from the corresponding period of 2013. Other taxes paid through the non-personal arrangement have increased by 1.3 per cent.
