Moderate increase in tax payments
Total taxes amounted to NOK 89 billion at the end of January 2017, which equals an increase of NOK 3.7 billion, or 4.3 per cent from last year.

Payments by personal taxpayers through the advance taxpaying arrangement account for most of the January tax payments. These total NOK 88 billion in January 2017, equal to an increase of NOK 3 billion from January last year. Tax payments from non-personal taxpayers amount to NOK 788 million. This constitutes an increase of NOK 558 million from last year. No tax payments were made on petroleum extraction in January.
Tax payments to central government amount to NOK 21.5 billion and NOK 22.4 billion to local government. Payments to the National Insurance Scheme total NOK 44.7 billion.
