Dramatic growth in government revenues

The central government revenues totalled NOK 644 billion in 2000. This is an increase of 29 per cent compared with 1999, when the central government revenues were NOK 499 billion.

The central government surplus before net transfers to the government petroleum fund were NOK 153.4 billion in 2000. Net transfers to the government petroleum fund amounted to NOK 151.9 billion.

Ministry of Finance published the Central government fiscal account including the National Insurance Scheme April 27th 2001. Statistics Norway presents main features from the Central government fiscal account on quarterly basis.
