Small changes in the construction costs

The index of residential buildings increased by 0.1 per cent in April compared with March this year. Material costs rose by 0.2 per cent in the same period. It is small changes for all subindices this month.

The cost of materials for stone, clay and cement work for detached houses increased most, with 0.3 per cent in April compared with March this year.

The construction costs of residential buildings rose by 5.3 per cent in April 2001 compared with April 2000. Material cost increased by 5.0 per cent in this period.
