Slight changes in construction costs

From June to July this year the construction costs of residential buildings increased by 0.2 per cent. The construction cost index increased by 3.0 per cent from July 2004 to July 2005.

The construction costs of multi-dwelling houses rose by 3.4 per cent last year, while detached houses of wood increased by 2.9 per cent. The material costs of multi-dwelling houses and detached houses of wood rose by 4.4 and 3.0 per cent respectively in the same period.
