Construction costs up 0.4 per cent

The construction costs of residential buildings rose by 0.4 per cent from March to April this year. The material costs increased by 0.9 per cent in the same period.

The construction costs of detached houses of wood had the highest increase last month with 0.4 per cent. The increase in costs of multi-dwelling houses was 0.3 per cent. The material costs increased by 0.8 and 1.2 per cent respectively in the same period.

From April last year to April this year the construction costs of multi-dwelling houses rose by 6.3 per cent, while detached houses of wood increased by 5.8 per cent. The material costs rose by 6.1 and 5.3 per cent respectively in the same period.
