Stable construction costs

The construction cost index for residential buildings remained unchanged from March to April this year. From April 2008 to April 2009, the costs rose by 2.4 per cent.

The construction cost of multi-dwelling houses and detached houses of wood increased by 2.6 and 2.4 per cent respectively from April 2008 to April 2009. The material costs of multi-dwelling houses rose by 1.6 per cent, while detached houses of wood increased by 0.6 per cent in the same period.
