Moderate price changes in construction costs

The construction costs of residential buildings rose by 0.3 per cent from August to September this year. The material cost increased by 0.4 per cent in the same period.

From August to September this year the construction cost of detached houses of wood and multi-dwelling houses rose by 0.3 and 0.1 per cent respectively. The material costs of detached houses of wood increased by 0.6 per cent, while the cost of multi-dwelling houses rose by 0.1 per cent in the same period.

From September 2008 to September 2009 the construction costs of residential buildings increased by 2.3 per cent. The material costs rose by 1.1 per cent in the same period. Construction costs of detached houses of wood increased by 2.7 per cent, while multi-dwelling houses rose by 1.6 per cent.
