Small changes in construction costs

The construction costs of residential buildings increased by 0.1 per cent from October to November this year. The labour cost rose by 0.3 per cent, while the material cost increased by 0.1 per cent in the same period.

The construction costs of detached houses of wood rose by 0.1 per cent from October to November this year, and multi-dwelling houses remained unchanged.

Wage statistics for the third quarter of 2009 are included in the construction costs of November this year.

From November 2008 to November 2009 the construction costs of residential buildings increased by 1.5 per cent. The material costs rose by 1.2 per cent in the same period. Constructions costs of detached houses of wood and multi-dwelling houses increased by 2.0 and 0.6 per cent respectively.
