Moderate increase in construction costs

The construction costs of residential buildings rose by 0.3 per cent from February to March this year. The material costs increased by 0.5 per cent in the same period.

From February to March this year, the construction costs of detached houses of wood and multi-dwelling houses rose by 0.3 and 0.5 per cent respectively. From March 2009 to March 2010, the construction costs of residential buildings increased by 2.8 per cent. The material costs rose by 2.6 per cent in the same period.
