Construction costs up 0.5 per cent

The construction cost of residential buildings increased by 0.5 per cent from September to October this year. The material costs rose by 0.9 per cent in the same period.

From September to October this year, the construction costs of detached houses of wood increased by 0.5 per cent. The costs of multi-dwelling houses rose by 0.3 per cent in the same period.

From October 2009 to October 2010 the construction costs of detached houses of wood and multi-dwelling houses increased by 3.2 and 3.0 per cent respectively.
