Increase in construction costs

The construction costs of residential buildings increased by 0.5 per cent from October to November this year. Labour costs rose by 1.2 per cent, while material costs increased by 0.1 per cent.

From October to November this year the construction costs of detached houses of wood and multi-dwelling houses both increased by 0.5 per cent.

Wage statistics for the third quarter of 2010 are included in the construction costs of November 2010, and are the main reason for the cost increase from October.
