Increase in construction costs

The construction costs of residential buildings increased by 0.5 per cent from September to October this year, and are 3.6 per cent higher than October 2010.

From September to October this year the construction costs of detached houses of wood increased by 0.6 per cent. The costs of multi-dwelling houses rose by 0.3 per cent in the same period. From October 2010 to October 2011 the construction costs of detached houses of wood and multi-dwelling houses rose by 3.7 and 3.5 per cent respectively.
