Moderate increase in construction costs

The construction costs of residential buildings increased by 0.3 per cent from February to March this year. The material costs rose by 0.5 per cent in the same period.

From February to March this year the construction costs of detached houses of wood and multi-dwelling houses increased by 0.3 and 0.4 per cent respectively. From March 2011 to March 2012 the costs of detached houses of wood rose by 3.3 per cent, while multi-dwelling houses increased by 3.1 per cent in the same period.
