Moderate increase in construction costs

The construction costs of residential buildings increased by 0.3 per cent from March to April this year, and are 3.2 per cent higher than April 2011.

From March to April this year the construction costs of detached houses of wood and multi-dwelling houses increased by 0.4 and 0.1 per cent respectively. From April 2011 to April 2012 the costs of detached houses of wood rose by 3.4 per cent, while multi-dwelling houses increased by 2.9 per cent in the same period.
