Moderate increase in construction costs

The construction costs of residential buildings increased by 0.3 per cent from September to October 2012. The material costs rose by 0.4 per cent in the same period.

From September to October this year the construction costs of detached houses of wood increased by 0.3 per cent, while the costs of multi-dwelling houses rose by 0.1 per cent. From October 2011 to October 2012 the costs of detached houses of wood and multi-dwelling houses increased by 3.2 and 2.8 per cent respectively.
