Increase in construction costs
The construction costs of residential buildings rose by 1.1 per cent from March to April this year. The material cost increased by 2.3 per cent in the same period, and are the main reason for the cost increase from March.

From April 2013 to April 2014, the construction costs of detached houses of wood and multi-dwelling houses increased by 4.1 and 3.1 per cent respectively.
