Minor changes in construction costs
The construction costs of residential buildings rose by 0.2 per cent from July to August this year, and are 3.3 per cent higher than in August 2013. Labour costs increased by 0.5 per cent, while material costs remained unchanged in the same period.

Wage statistics for the second quarter of 2014 are included in the construction costs of August 2014, and are the main reason for the cost increase from July.
From August 2013 to August 2014, the construction costs of detached houses of wood and multi-dwelling houses increased by 3.7 and 2.6 per cent respectively.
