Plumbing costs down 0.1 per cent

The index of plumbing work in office and commercial buildings decreased by 0.1 per cent in January 2002 compared with the previous month. The falling off was mainly due to changes in labour cost.

The construction cost of plumbing work in office and commercial buildings rose by 5.5 per cent in January 2002 compared with January 2001. The cost of sanitary installations and heating installations increased in the same period by 6.4 and 4.5 per cent respectively in the same period.
