Minor changes in plumbing costs [Corrected 21 March 2011]

The construction costs of plumbing works in office and commercial buildings increased by 0.2 per cent from January to February this year. The labour costs rose by 0.9 per cent, while the material costs remained unchanged in the same period.

Corrected 21 March 2011

The building cost figures published on 14 March 2011 were too high due to an error in the calculation of the labour costs for some of the occupational groups included in the building cost indices. All figures in the text, apart from the material costs, have therefore been corrected. Corrections have also been made to tables, figure and in StatBank. (21 March 2011)

Construction cost index for plumbing works in office and commercial buildings. 2000=100

Wage statistics for the fourth quarter of 2010 are included in the index for February.

From February 2010 to February 2011 the construction costs of plumbing works in office and commercial buildings rose by 3.4 per cent. The costs of sanitary installations and heating installations increased by 2.8 and 4.2 per cent respectively in the same period.
