House prices up 0.9 per cent the last quarter
House prices increased by 0.9 per cent from the third to the fourth quarter of 2005. Adjusted for seasonal variations, house prices increased by 2,0 per cent in the same period.
Prices of flats increased by 1.4 per cent during the last quarter, while prices of row houses and detached houses increased by 0.4 per and 0,9 per cent respectively. From the fourth quarter of 2004 to the fourth quarter of 2005, house prices increased by 7.8 per cent.
Annual growth in house prices by 8,3 per cent
The House price index increased by 8.3 per cent from 2004 to 2005. The annual growth is an average of the quarterly indices in 2005 compared to the corresponding average for 2004.
A total of 15 216 sales are used in the calculation of the price index.
