An error has been identified in ‘The Index for row houses for Nord-Norge' for the period 2nd quarter 2012 - 1st quarter 2014. This has also affected the total figures. Updated figures for this period are available in StatBank.

House prices up 3.2 per cent

Houses prices increased on average by 3.2 per cent from the first to the second quarter of 2012.

Prices for flats in blocks and row houses increased by 2.5 and 1.9 per cent respectively from the first to the second quarter of 2012. During the same period, the prices of detached houses increased by 3.9 per cent.

Strongest growth in Trøndelag last year

From the second quarter of 2011 to the second quarter of 2012, house prices in Trøndelag without Trondheim had the highest rise, by 10.3 per cent, followed by Trondheim with 8.5 per cent growth.

In Oslo, including Bærum, and Stavanger, the increase in prices was also higher than the national average, at 6.7 per cent last year. In Bergen, house prices increased by 5.8 per cent during this period.

Prices for flats in blocks had the highest increase last year, by 9.1 per cent. For row houses and detached houses the growth was 6.7 and 5.8 per cent respectively.
