Price index, civil engineering consultancy activities, Q1 2002

The prices of civil engineering activities increased by 20.4 per cent during the four-year period. The increase in prices peaked at the beginning of the period. Compared with 1998 the prices increased by 6.7 per cent in 1999. In 2000 and 2001 the price increase amounted to 4.8 and 3.3 per cent respectively.

The prices increased by 3.6 per cent in the 1^{s t} quarter 2002 compared with the 1^{s t} quarter 2001. During the four previous quarters (1^{s t}- 4^{t h} quarter 2001) the price increase varied from 2.5 to 4.1 per cent.
